Our academic year begins in the month of March, and concludes in February, we accept students aged 2 years in our specialized Playgroup programme to be ready for formal school which begins in Nursery (children aged 3 years and above). Setting the curricular foundation in the pre-primary programme and continuing to support the students through the primary and middle school division.
Trained teachers, skilled staff, using a plethora of teaching aids and imparting concurrent and practical education is the backbone of our system.

Our students complete their academic year, with gainful experience in music, dramatics, sports, cultural performances, debates, speeches, building crafts and life skills. The school was established in January, 2015, with the purpose of introducing modern education yet drawing from traditional values and preserving the local culture. In our inception years, bringing a brand like Poly Kids to Rishikesh and implementing the best practices of the renowned Dehradun schooling and then co-developing a curricular programme with the best international practices, compliant with the new NEP, we have received many awards for our efforts in the last decade. The Ankur Public School Rishikesh is run and operated by Vaibhav Saklani under the aegis of the “Ankur Educational and Welfare Society, Rishikesh“.
Vaibhav Saklani, Director, is a social entrepreneur. With degrees in Journalism and Media Studies from St. Xavier’s College and the University of Auckland respectively, he has previously worked in corporate communications and written columns on various topics like education, culture, politics, elections, travel and society. He loves exploring the world through books, museums and long walks. He loves working on improving how we impart education and is continuously evolving activities under the play-way method of teaching.

The meticulous hours spent in preparation, the levels of concentration, the skills to craft and tell stories on a whim and the patience to handle it all. Our teachers can be as charming as Jane and yet discipline the class with their Thor like thunder.
